Item Upgrading: It's Not As Expensive As You Think
World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.
If the template for upgrading a weapon is in %, the weapon will gain 3percent of its previous damage every time it is upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the current level of the item. The cost rises with item's level.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be put into weapons, armor, and trinkets to provide an additional stat boost or effect when they're used. They can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot to accommodate them; the item must be at the very least upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it's applied to (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, which lets players to create stronger versions of the item using fewer upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level using normal methods.
A boost upgrade can change the attack or defense attributes of the weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades are available for purchase them from the cash shop, or by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other gear.
Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of the item will be available during the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep upgrading their gear even if they're not sure of the extent to which it will increase after a future reset.
The process of upgrading an item can be costly and it is likely that the item will eventually become obsolete or even break in the event that the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the chance of failure. Certain upgrades also provide a bonus if they are reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. upgrade item can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, including any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as possible up to 15 levels.
You will often find in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the most effective method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded straight to level 15, and they provide significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes much faster.
The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and rebuilt with a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
Each Glyph has a certain range of values that can enhance a stat by. The value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with another Glyph of the same rank, or a higher rank, which will boost the value of the glyph.
Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the many Glyphs and there are some rare glyphs to be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
When you have the desired Glyphs You will need to place them on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that boosts the stats of a particular set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.
Utilizing the Glyph can boost all nodes connected to it, so you should try to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. item upgrading for instance should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.
Leveling
The upgrade system of items allows players to increase the stats of specific items by introducing upgraded components. This is often referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level which determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be leveled to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of an item requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.
Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained from the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab in the crafting table. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns some Technology Points. These points can be used to leveling up an item. Once enough points are earned you'll be able to claim the upgrade and get its extra bonuses.
When the player upgrades an item to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a new item of the same type. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also have its own set bonus. This could be a drawback in that it could cause the item to become more expensive, even if you don't need it.
If the player has enough tokens they can roll item upgrades. The item will be replaced with a brand new one that has a level 1 basis and totally different bonuses. This can be useful for certain items, however it's not something that should be repeated often, as it can use up lots of resources.
Certain upgrades can be rerolled many times to increase their value, allows the player to modify their gear. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or does not swim as dolphins). This item can be upgraded multiple times by increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item can be very useful in PvP battles, since an item that is properly rolled it can be worth between 20 and 50x its non-upp'd value.
Requirements
The upgrader for items lets players increase the level of their equipment (armor weapons, armor trinkets, and weapons) beyond ilvl385 by handing over the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase its base defense, while upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.
All items can be upgraded up to five times except for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an object, it is at risk of failing. The probability of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures can result in the item returning to its original state which means that the player has to pay for more materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.
If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will be reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it gained, such as crit chance attack damage, other effects (such as increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). However, the player may still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.
Whenever an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it gains a crit chance increase that it will be applied before any damage to attack increases. Slots is a new attribute that has been added to the definitions of items. The value is recalculated each time an upgrade occurs.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equal to its base value. For example, a common item might have five upgrades at a cost. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero quality items will have an incredibly lower cost for each upgrade.
Premium items could require different upgrades than normal equipment. For example they might require less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. However, players must visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. Each upgrade to equipment will require different amounts of ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the costs that are listed above.
